Ras al Khaimah is located about 1hr 10 minutes north of downtown Dubai on the coast of the UAE. Ras al Khaimah (RAK) is an action packed Emirate with many Western Hotels/bars, golf courses, restaurants and the Emirate is fast gaining a reputation as not only a holiday destination but now a serious location for expats to live and work in the UAE.

Ras al Khaimah has cheaper living costs to Dubai, offers a good work/life balance and Dubai is within arms-reach should you wish to visit for a weekend (or an evening at a push). There is a close expat community and the traffic around town is virtually non existent which makes a nice change from getting stuck in the Dubai rush hour traffic jams.

Housing developments have exploded across Ras al Khaimah over the last few years with many new developments opening to satisfy the growing number of expats making the move to Ras al Khaimah. Many housing developments offer beach fronted living in high end apartment blocks and usually provide access to a gym, swimming pool and various other leisure facilities.
