The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Head of English to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will:
 

• Lead a team of secondary English teachers.
• Develop and deliver engaging lessons at Key Stage 3/4 & A Level.
• Create comprehensive lesson plans and contribute to curriculum development.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where pupils thrive.
• Be involved in extracurricular activities.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential 
    

• A certified teaching qualification, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent from a UK University.  
• Ability to teach English up to KS5.
• Experience teaching English at KS3-5 in a British curriculum setting.
• Strong lesson planning and curriculum development skills. 
• Have high motivation for teaching and a sense of humour. 
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.       

Desirable

• Proven experience leading an English department in the UK.
