The Role

Looking for a positive, driven and inspirational Deputy Head Teacher to join the team.

Essential:  

• Hold a bachelor’s degree and a post-graduate qualification in education. 
• Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Trained in British Curriculum or International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program.
• Have a proven record of raising attainment and improving progress. 
• Have an excellent understanding of teaching and learning. 
• Be proficient in the development and adaptation of curriculum in a key subject.  
• Have a proven track record of excellent classroom and pedagogical practice. 
• Have previous experience in a position of responsibility as a middle leader/senior leader.
• Experience of leading a team and working with various teams.
• Have excellent communications skills – both spoken and written.
• Excellent people management skills.
   

Desirable:

• Master’s degree in education.
• Educational management qualification (NPQML/NPQSL, etc.)
• Strong and proven pedagogical understandings, based on research and best practice.
• Experience as Deputy Head Teacher or equivalent role.
• Experience of using Google suite, e.g., Google classroom.

Welcome to RAK Academy. We have been delivering international education in the beautiful emirate of Ras Al Khaimah since 1975.
