Registered with the Secretary of Education, we thrive in a vibrant city located just 200 km southwest of Bogotá, boasting a population of 600,000 and an array of modern amenities. Nestled in a picturesque valley surrounded by tropical mountains, Ibague offers a near-perfect climate, usually reaching a delightful 28 degrees during the day and cooling down to a refreshing 18 at night.

Safety in Colombia has dramatically improved in recent years, making it as much of a concern as it would be in any major North American city. The friendly locals and the lively atmosphere of Ibague create an exciting backdrop filled with activities and nightlife. We’ve just opened a brand new, larger school that can accommodate up to 18 teachers! With modern classrooms, state-of-the-art equipment, and innovative ideas, our classes are designed to be dynamic and engaging for both students and teachers alike.

We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic and experienced teachers to join us starting early 2020! A clear voice with a neutral “North American” accent is essential, and we’re seeking outgoing, energetic individuals. While Spanish is a bonus, it isn't required!

Here’s what we offer:
- A competitive monthly salary of around 2,080,000 Colombian Pesos for 28 hours of in-class teaching per week, plus an annual bonus equivalent to two months' salary!
- 15 days of paid vacation for you to explore.
- Medical insurance (after 30 days) arranged for you with partial school coverage, including extensive plans for emergency and regular care, as well as drug and dental services.
- A written contract that adheres to all local standards and practices.
- Full assistance in obtaining your work visa, with costs covered by the school. All foreign teachers at Native Tongue are required to have a work visa, so for your safety, please don’t accept positions at other schools without this important document, as it can have serious repercussions.
- Comprehensive academic support, including direction and materials to help you teach effectively.

What we require:
- A native English speaker eager to commit to a 10-12 month contract.
