As part of the expansion of its team, the management of Yenne Kids’ Academy is calling for
applications for the position of:
Anglophone Learning Facilitator, Sénégal, West Africa (full time)
Responsible for teaching the English curriculum for primary school education and
young learners at YKA, the facilitator will work under the supervision of YKA’s
Management and Pedagogical team.
Purpose :
- Facilitate the progression and excellence of YKA students on their English learning journey
- Plan, deliver and assess skills-based hands-on teaching and learning experiences using
best practice EAL teaching methods adapted to the learning needs of every student - Contribute to the operation and development of YKA’s unique personalised education
system and pedagogical offer
Main duties:
- To design, deliver and evaluate teaching and learning within the framework of the YKA
school curricula; - To build the foundations of learning by drawing on a range of teaching methods adapted to
individualised learning; - Use YKA’s modern information and communication technologies to support learning,
searching for and selecting training and teaching resources; - Contribute to the development of high-quality pedagogical tools and methods
(collaborative projects, skills-based evaluation, etc.); - Ensure that classes are well managed and that pupils are enthused and involved;
Adapt your teaching to the diversity of your pupils by providing them with any necessary
support; - Ensure individual monitoring of pupil progress;
- Carry out tasks specific to our school environment e.g. participate in teacher rotas to
supervise breaktimes, lead assemblies or other miscellaneous
tasks; - Comply with the rules, regulations and directives governing YKA’s teaching activities;
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and meetings with parents;
- Communicate and explain the rules governing the operation of the class and the school;
- Take into account any advice and feedback on performance from management and the
Teaching Council; - Carry out administrative tasks as requiredby the school;
- Maintain regular communication with parents and families, to inform them about their
child's work and behaviour, and jointly monitor their progress; - Work as part of a team and maintain positive, professional relationships with colleagues;
- Take part in extra-curricular activities (trips, events, celebrations) organised by the school;
