Uzbekistan Requires TEFL Teachers Immediately

USD $1800 to $3000 per month + Accommodation & Flights

The Ministry of preschool and school education of the Republic of Uzbekistan invites applications for an English-Language teaching position.

The successful applicants will teach a diverse range of students (secondary/high school students) in secondary public schools.

Location: Secondary schools in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Effective Date of a Contract: September 1, 2024 – May 31, 2025

Type of contract: civil agreement with a local employer, concluded by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education

Responsibilities:
•    ESL/EFL teachers (with at least C1 level of English)
•    Teach English (20 contact hours) to secondary school students from grade 7 to grade 11 (13-17 years old)
•    Run extra-curricular activities
•    Plan and prepare the necessary resources for the lesson
•    Mark and provide appropriate feedback on students’ oral and written work
•    Track students' progress at the end of each term
•    Cooperate with assistant teacher (local English language teacher)
•    Conduct workshops for local English language teachers (once a week)

Qualifications:
•    Candidates must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, ideally in TESOL, TEFL, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics or a related field
•    Experience teaching English at secondary/high school level
•    Experience of living/teaching abroad is highly desirable
•    CELTA, DELTA, TEFL, TESL and TESOL certificates (appreciated)
